Jan 3 Hotfixes And How they Affect You

Ok, so another Tuesday with a few hotfixes for the masses.

Grim Batol
Trogg Dwellers which cannot be reached by players via legitimate means no longer award experience or drop loot if killed.
Those that have utilzed this as a means for easy farming (resetting after the second group inside) Cata greens and the 1-7 droprate of cloth no longer have this available to them. Not a biggie, but with the tailoring change (see below) this will affect Embersilk Cloth prices.

Lost City of the Tol'vir
Lockmaw's Frenzied Crocolisks have learned how to swim! In addition, Vicious Poison was doing too much damage and has been reduced slightly.
Bah. If you ran this instance, you already knew this would be hotfixed, as staying out of the water on these pulls would keep you pain free. Did you already get the achievement? Hope so....

Tailoring
•Tailors with 400 skill or higher should now receive additional cloth drops 50% of the time from anything that drops cloth, up from 25%.
This is great, meaning that by the weekend, the prices will flatten out and hold strong. We have been steady at 5ish gold each, with a stack hovering around 100g. With the change in Grim (see above), and this additional droprate, I don't see much of a change in Embersilk Cloth itself, but I see the price of tailored goods go down slightly.

Cooking
•The cooking daily quest Chef's Awards no longer have a limit to how many players can hold at one time. Please note that the user interface will still say a maximum of 10 Chef's Award currency can be possessed until a client-side patch can be applied, but players can accrue more than 10.
So in other words, client side patches will be happening soon, so look for another post on hotfixes this week.

Tol Barad now awards 360 Honor Points for winning as the attacking faction, down from 1800
I am sure that this makes alot of us happy, especially Gauss over at his blog who just did a post hitting some of the key points of the "Tol Barad Mess".

Well folks, thats what popped out for me, but as usual, there are others that I did not post over at Blizzard's Hotfix, check it out.

I had completely missed the changes to tailoring and cooking.

Given the price of Frostweave on my server and that my tailor is just about to ding L68, this is a nice change for his Northrend leveling.

The cooking award cap was really bothersome for anyone with lowbies who were doing them for the exp and skill ups. Being able to stockpile a lot of these will be helpful later.

Good info, Alto - especially on the cloth drop rate!

But... erm, isn't this a January 3rd hotfix? Not December?

Happy New Year!! XD
