Using The Undermine Journal (TuJ) Tabs: Great Deals and Unusual Items

Since most folks that read my blog are already using The Undermine Journal for your AH needs, you know that it seems to change quite often as the admin @Erorus keeps everyone on their toes....

A few days back, I noticed there were a few changes to the Great Deals page....it was gone! Sad Panda fer shur....but the admin must have already had this plan going, as there is a new option that is a PERFECT addition:

Under the tab Great Deals (black taskbar) you will see the options of Great Deals and Unusual Deals (this one is new to me and VERY COOL!)

Click on image if you are blind and can't read it this small

GREAT DEALS

When you are looking at Great Deals, there is always something you can snatch up at a great price (and you don't even have to be at your computer! If you have a smartphone (android or iphone) you can download the Remote Auction House app for free and no monthly fees! Buy and sell from work, on the road, on the train, at your girlfriends, mother in laws, wherever!

Click on image to enlarge (and that isn't what she said)

Don't just limit yourself to any area within Great Deals....why? Example of today's purchase:

*I am sure you can pick which one I snatched in this photo....hint.....it's Emerald

There are a few ways to distinguish which to buy....

1.Price vs. Mean - This is current price versus the 'average' price on your server. Great for flipping items

2.Price vs. Global - This is great to know the 'value' of an item worldwide. This is good if you aren't completely sure the rarity overall of your item.

UNUSUAL DEALS

Now, lets take a glance at Unusual Deals! This tab I am pumped about, and the first time visiting earlier today I snatched up a deal as well. I know this is a Hallow's End item, but for the time it takes to fly all over to get enough tokens, it's well worth my time....

Using a similar formula as what I stated above, I grabbed this item up due to the Global Median page. Nearly 5 times the price on my server.....however this one isn't going up for sale as I will be learning it upon login. It's a cool pet that I have wanted, just never wanted to invest the time to get it. Time IS money, friend!

*If you are using this to flip items, it's also a good idea to use Global Median to price for resale

So now, all you have to do is go to The Undermine Journal, use the steps above, log into your phone app, and buy up whatcha see!

Now after you snatch a few things up, holler back and let me know what you find!

MoP Pet Battles- Addons, Macros, Battle Tamers, Rares, Guides and Powerleving

If you are getting the 'bug' for Pet Battles, then I am confident that you are also trying to get some of the more rare Pets that are out there. Good! So am I!

The feedback I am getting so far is pet battles are a good time waster and a nice getaway from the usual gold grind, rep grind, leveling grind, etc, etc, etc....And for this, I agree. I never played pokemon, or really any other 'battle' style game similar to this, and my only disappointment with this is not being able to sell our "captured" pets on the AH. Yet. So I am currently stockpiling 'wild' rares and holding onto them. Blizzard states they have a metric shitton (okay, not quoting here, but that's the gist) of pet battle changes coming in later patches... =)

So this post is directed at everyone that is looking for the best information on pets on the web. I have read quite a bit, and have been to many sites to compile as much as possible. Here are my favorite sites that are bookmarked:

PET TRAINER/PET TAMER

(To getcha Achievement!)

GENERAL PET

BATTLE GUIDES

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

Not sure about this link, or where it came from (was on favorites tab) but there is a huge list that someone put alot of time into:

FINDING RARE BATTLE PETS:

No, not the blue rare you are thinking. These are pets that are rare to find and capture....if you actually get a 'rare' version of any of these 'rares', then you better go buy a lottery ticket...

Baby Ape - Stranglethorn - spawns during rain on Jaquero Island
Silithid Hatchling - Tanaris - spawns during a sandstorm at Noxious Lair
Minfernal - Felwood
Spawn of Onyxia - Dustwallow Marsh
Fel Flame - Shadowmoon Valley
Restless Shadeling - only spawns at midnight in Master's Cellar in Deadwind Pass
Flayer Youngling - border between Hellfire and Terrokar Forest
Giraffe Calf - Southern Barrens
Molten Hatchling - Searing Gorge - lava pits
Widow Spiderling - Duskwood - at night
Stone Armadillo - Desolace - evenings
Snowy Owl - Winterspring - only in winter
Qiraji Guardling - Silithus - only in summer

POWERLEVELING PETS

MACROS

Right off the bat, if you haven't already, you want to set up an in game Macro for finding out the 'rarity' of your competition in wild battles:

/run hooksecurefunc("PlaySoundKitID", function(Q) if Q==31584 then for i=1,C_PetBattles.GetNumPets(2) do SELECTED_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(C_PetBattles.GetName(2,i).." - ".._G["BATTLE_PET_BREED_QUALITY"..C_PetBattles.GetBreedQuality(2,i)]) end end end)

*This macro was originally seen on Warcraft Pets with credit going to Simca

ADD-ONS

Since in 5.1 most of the current addons will basically be implemented into WoW, the one that I have been currently using is PetTracker. Sure, there are alot more out there, but for now, I am only using one....

If you feel the need to use a bunch of 'em, here's the spot to check:

Well, I hope this gets you started in your Pet Battles in MoP. If there are other sites, other posts, or better information (not spam btw) than what is posted here, please link in comments below.

Insanely Fast Respawn Farming Trillium Ore/Ghost Iron/Snow Lily/Golden Lotus

Crazy spawn rate not nerfed....yet. So get there and farm up crazy amounts while you can. Because tomorrow, you just never know....

And it's not the caves that you are used to farming up in Kota Peak....You gotta drop down one level for this one....the two 'upper' caves are farm and bot happy. I found this one while dead trying to get back up to my undead...well...dead body.

If you have been farming either of the upper caves, walk midway between them and look down....

The exact entrance doesn't have yeti's hanging outside....it's located at 39.5/75.5...

If you are new to the area, take a gander at your minimap inside. If it looks like the first image I posted above, you are there. If not, it will either be a circle (quest hub- wrong one) or one to the left (the two upper caves have a similar layout, so if you see this one, NOT IT! Jump down till you see the little DK in the image above)

Now this farm isn't your average spot. If you have mining, you will do well, with plenty of Ghost Iron and a few spawns of Trillium. If you happen to have Herbalism as well on your farmer (of course you do!), then you will have a near shitton of Snow Lily with the occasional Golden Lotus (the buff rarely leaves me here, so that should give you an idea of how quickly they spawn in this cave).

And make sure to get your Mist-Piercing Goggles too! With so many nodes in here of both herbs and ore, a few extra never hurt anyone!

Due to the rate of respawn, this has to be fixed extremely soon. So my advice? Getcha out there now and farm till you cant farm no more!

Before I leave, I want to tell you another thing.....The Yeti's inside give off 54K per mob. The reason I spoke above about the multiple caves (top tier, not this one) is a very popular spot for bots/questing. It seems as of the last couple days, bots have not made it into this cave....yet. After they read this post though, I am sure you will see them pop up there.

Long story short, the mobs give good XP. With the Golden Lotus buff, you can get satchels that give decent drops, but if you are more worried about mass-farming mats, leave the Yeti's with a bit of loot on them, as they respawn slower.

If you are still reading this, WHY? Get on your Gathering toon and get to work!

UPDATE: Faid posted a video of a similar area in Kun-Lai farming for Motes of Harmony which can be viewed on her YouTube page:

Mist Piercing Goggles- Forager's Gloves- Must have Gear for Herbalism and Mining in Pandaria

Mist Piercing Goggles, taught by a schematic for engineers (using 8 Ghost Iron Bolts and 2 Spirits of Harmony) is one of the must have items for farming in Pandaria. Why you ask? For a small investment off the AH (or by crafting your own) you can get extra nodes from both Herbs and Ore. The Undermine Journal states that these can be picked up at nearly every auction house out there, from as little as 10g to just over 3K. A wise purchase at any price if you are a heavy farmer.....

Since using these goggles, I have seen approximately a 10% improvement in nodes. Let me rephrase that....10% more Herbs....And also, they are kinda sexy (FYI- supposedly, you do not have to wear them to get the 'buff', but why wouldn't you when they look this good!?)

In nearly two hours of straight farming on my gatherer toon, I saw only one, yes one, extra Ore node.

Compare that to 32 extra nodes of herbs. At the current prices of Mist Piercing Goggles on the AH, I figure that my tiny investment of 420g (lol'd at that price....) was paid for in the first 15 minutes.

The nodes are easy to spot as 'freebies' using these goggles....they appear as a Misty (hence the name) cloud around the plant/rock. Comparing to gathering statistics, I do not see they are necessarily 'new' locations, they just allow quicker spawnrates in an area. Extra is good, right?!

For an even bigger boost in your Gathering professions, you might just want to take a farm route in Kun-Lai Summit near the rare mob Korda Torros to getcha a pair of Forager's Gloves to speed up your picking/mining as well! It's only a 10'ish percent droprate, but hey, who's counting right?!

It's too bad you cannot get the Forager's Gloves off the AH like the  Mist Piercing Goggles, but with your luck, of course they will drop!

How Do I Get To The BMAH (Black Market Auction House) in WoW Pandaria?

So you are wondering where the BMAH is? Rock on! Well, it's just a hop, skip and a jump away in Pandaria. Take your FP to Tavern In The Mists in The Veiled Stair

When you land at the flight master Shin the Weightless (56.7, 75.7), turn around until you see this:

Here is Madam Goya's hut. For ease of use to find her, you can always just listen to me, or go ahead and make a macro:

/target Madam Goya

You can see she is right inside with a few guards surrounding her.

Just for shits and giggles, here is the current state of my BMAH (since ya'll love screenshots). Currently, I see no option to buy it now, however if there is something in the AH you really want, you might just toss the highest bid you can afford (up to 999,999g).

With the latter option, you are more than sure you will get said item. =)

The ones that I see as major purchases are from the TGC set and the Mounts (of course). You will want to keep tabs on the AH, as items have changed within 24 hours (although I am guessing some are set at 48h. No way to tell yet until further info is out there.

I will be checking this daily and will update my findings asap.
